This site publishes flood insurance cost data. It does not sell insurance, and there is nobody here who can price a policy for you. Knowing that up front saves everyone time, so here is exactly where we are useful and where we are not.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If a figure looks wrong, tell us the page and what you think it should be.
- Questions about how a number was calculated, which policies were counted and which were left out.
- Requests for a breakdown we have not published yet, by county, zone or year.
- Press and research enquiries, including how to cite this data.
- Reuse of our figures, which is fine with attribution.
What we cannot do
- Quote a policy or estimate the premium for your address.
- Look up an individual property, owner or claim history.
- Advise on how much coverage to buy, or which carrier to choose.
- Change, cancel or renew a policy, or help with a claim.
- Tell you your flood zone. Use the FEMA Flood Map Service Center at msc.fema.gov.
