There are only 42 National Flood Insurance Program policies on record for single-family homes in Liberty County since January 2023. That is too few to publish a figure with the confidence we apply everywhere else on this site, so treat everything below as indicative rather than settled.
Across those 42 policies the median annual cost was $810, with the middle half falling between $684 and $956. With a sample this small, a handful of unusual properties can move the midpoint noticeably.
Why Liberty County has so few policies
Liberty County is inland and thinly populated. Flood insurance is mandatory only for federally backed mortgages on property inside a Special Flood Hazard Area, so counties with few homes in mapped high-risk zones carry very few policies. A low count here reflects how few households buy the cover, not how safe the county is.
For a firmer sense of pricing in this part of Florida, the neighbouring counties carry far larger samples. You can also compare what each flood zone costs statewide, which is the strongest single predictor of any individual premium.
Where this figure comes from
Same source and same filters as every other county on this site: FEMA policy records, single-family homes, twelve-month terms, effective from January 2023, including federal fees and the HFIAA surcharge. The only difference is the size of the sample, and we would rather say so than quietly publish it as if it were as solid as the rest.
